Interesting new opportunity for a numerate candidate with MRP experience and production experience to join a busy department preparing price estimates for customers.
Our client is a successful manufacturing company with leading edge products and this is a great opportunity to join them and help them ensure that estimates are supplied at "best price possible" maximising margin.
The Role
To take direct responsibility for producing pricing estimates on jobs for sales or direct with customers where appropriate.
  • Ensure implementation of agreed pricing and other commercial terms of trading including critical paths.
  • Build knowledge of the corporate market in particular with regards to market pricing, competitor capabilities, and company strengths to ensure a strong offer to the market.
  • Support the communication between customers, sales personnel and the internal team throughout the production process.
  • Ensure that Specification Control spreadsheets and product specifications are completed and approved prior to commencement of manufacture.
  • Produce and monitor Control spreadsheet to ensure the required print orders are completed and issued in lines with target dates
  • Provide weekly/monthly management information on individual customers incorporating sales margin and delivery performance.
  • Relay information to other departments/interested parties as appropriate. Conduct review meetings for new and repeat business where thought necessary to keep relevant staff aware of key account requirements and complexities.
  • Establish and maintain customer files.

The Person
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of production process and materials.
  • Experience of MRP systems.
  • Accurate with attention to detail and the ability to evaluate specifications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently within set parameters
  • Ability to adapt quickly and with varying work and time sensitive demands
  • Enjoy working in a small team environment
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational ability.
