Excellent opportunity to join a Retail Purchasing team in Edinburgh.

As a key member of the merchandising team, you will be responsible for ensuring stores receive the right product, at the right time, therefore maximizing sales and service for the customer.

Key accountabilites:

  • Managing delivery schedules, stock allocation, replenishment and Outstanding Committed Orders.
    * Liaising with supply base on orders and delivery schedules.
    * Communicating with the central warehouse on stockholding, orders, deliveries and replenishment.
    * First point of contact for stores queries regarding stock, orders and deliveries.
    * Management of stock build for new store openings.
    * Creating and maintaining Purchase Orders.
    * Understanding Stock Targets workings for month and year end and build into weekly replenishment parameters.
    * Carry out regular and ad-hoc analysis as directed.
    * Deliver financial KPI's to the budget.
    * Set up weekly management of all key line cards, promotional lines and best sellers.
    * Create a weekly status report on top 50 lines on division.
    * Take ownership of Profile Management through the use of the Mock-shop.
    * Improve visibility of stock allocations.
    * Set up flow plans and distribution plans with suppliers.
    * Carry out administrative and ad hoc analysis as directed by the Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser.
    * Update order catalogue and range plan information as required. * Stand in for Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser when on annual leave for key trade reporting and other duties as required

About you:
  • At least 1 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and be proficient in the use of Excel.
  • Previous experience of working with Navision and Mercatus systems would be an advantage.
